White Cob

Traditionally a crusty round loaf, often hollowed out and filled with soups and stews or served as a meal accompaniment (not to be confused with a cob roll, a term often used in the Midlands).

Made with white flour containing about 75% of the wheat kernel.  The outer bran and wheat germ have been removed to leave the endosperm which has been milled into white flour.
